Chris Anderson Presents:
Trial Talk - Part 3

December 28th, 2011

What will be the legal implications are for gun owners living in a post-registry world?

Let's sit down with firearms lawyer Ed Burlew and find out!

Even though the registry is not gone yet we are already seeing changes in the way the crown, police, and various enforcement agencies apply the law and lay charges against gun owners. We will also get an update on the Ian Thompson trial. The crown is charging Mr. Thompson with unsafe storage and a two day trial is set for January 30th to 31st 2012 in Welland Ontario.

Going to trial is very expensive. There are many people in the shooting sports community that would like to see “castle law” come to Canada. If you believe that a person’s home is their castle you need to send in a donation to Ian Thompson. As a full time university student Mr. Thompson has limited financial resources and the trial expenses could cause him to lose the very home he was trying to defend.

Please make out a check to

Edward L Burlew – In Trust Re: Ian Thompson Trial and mail it to:

Edward L Burlew 16 John Street Thornhill, Ontario L3T 1X8

Or if you prefer to donate by credit card please call 1-888-486-5677 during normal officer hours – Toronto time – if you’re in a different time zone please check what time it is in Toronto before calling.

If the bad economy has you at loose ends and you don’t have the funds to donate... Please link this podcast to your facebook, email it to friends, and let your fellow hunters and target shooters know about it.

Chances are someone you know will have the resources to make a donation.

The Sci-Fi Guns Episode

August 31st, 2011

Science fiction has produced some of the coolest and most memorable guns of all time. I’ve always wanted a plasma rifle in the 40 watt range. I went downtown to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre for FANEXPO Canada 2011. Sci Fi fans from all across Canada came to geek out on comic books, movies, anime, and video games.

TV and movie personalities were on hand including some of our favorite Sci Fi characters. This episode features steampunk movie prop guns, video games, bullet wounds, droid building, ghost busting, and an exclusive interview with the Predator. Yes, we talk with the alien hunter with the “shoulder thing that goes up” about Canadian gun control laws.

Prepare to beam down and set your phasers to awesome. This is one podcast episode you don’t want to miss.
